Spring is upon us and between global chaos and confusing politics, the industry often reflects life’s uncertainties. As we navigate ahead using our sensibilities and principles as a GPS we can focus on the current projects and collaborators who ground us.
We are delighted to team up with talented director Kenneth Lott to cast the feature film City on the Make written by Terrence Greco and produced by Sania Jhankar of Luminous Studios. The story is a modern day tragedy about teenagers in desperate circumstances inadvertently igniting a gang war and narcotics investigation when they stumble upon a botched robbery and help themselves to the spoils.
Bario Boy the feature, based on the successful short of the same name is progressing on the development front. The passion driving this project will bring this urgently needed narrative the attention it deserves within the independent film production community.
Off Track Betty a short film literally shot on film by writer/director Clayton Dean Smith has been getting attention before its official release, www.nytimes.com/…the-lower-east-side-on-film-in-off-track-betty.html
Most of the NYC locations sadly no longer exist as does the film lab Deluxe which graced OTB as one of its final films to process. We are hoping festival programmers understand the value of capturing these vanishing NYC landscapes and anticipate a successful festival run.
Moon Molson’s The Bravest, The Boldest continues to receive its well deserved worldwide accolades. Most recently winning best the Best Short Film Award at the Anchorage International Film Festival.
