August 2013

The summer continues its non-stop pace resulting in beautiful accomplishment. Jennifer Phang’s feature film Advantageous is currently shooting and all involved share the feeling that we are indeed part of a very special and ground breaking project.

The documentary I Ain’t Playin Films is producing “Re-Walk-Me”  has been accepted for fiscal sponsorship by the New York Foundation for the Arts, Artspire program. We are so looking forward to the access and support from such a respected organization. While the funding process is being established, we continue to move forward. Raw footage shot by Sally Petrone is being artfully cut into the teaser by our talented director Amanda Donenfeld & editor Josh Schwartz.

The gratifying work of teaching & writing continues. I’ve enjoyed teaching young actors at The Performing Option, Company members at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts & The NYCAP program for SAG-AFTRA among others. I learn so much from my students as they have been the source of inspiration for the 2nd edition of my book “Ace Your Acting Audition” beautifully designed by Cahill Connolly. The book release in digital & hard copy formats is targeted for mid Fall.

The summer will wind down with a new project, the short “Alive Day Birthday” co written by Rolando Sanchez & Moon Molson. This compelling story of a young man, traumatized by his experience in the military as he tries to adjust to civilian life is one I’ll enjoy casting & co-producing.
