As NYC delves into the Fall Season, I am moved by the resilience of nature and the tenacity of the human spirit. The collective experience of so many navigating personal and global challenges is humbling. It is a gift to be able to forge on within our chosen industry/lifestyle as a means to temper the chaos if only for a moment.
Welcome to the Fall 2025 Producing and Casting Update.
Our tender and subtly heartbreaking film, stateside, continues to flourish in the festival circuit. We are proud of recent screenings, acceptances and accolades including:
Winner: Best Short Film/male FilmOut San Diego, US
Winner: Best Achievement in Screenwriting – Bridgeport Film Festival
Official Selection: ImageOut Rochester, LGBTQ+ Fall Festival
Official Selection: Fresno Reel Pride Film Festival
Our latest collaborative endeavor, The Last Day of Byron Bray, written/directed/produced by Michael Borrelli of West 52nd Street Films, produced by Peter McCann and myself has made record time from script to final cut. The making of this film has been a beautifully challenging and miraculous process and would not be possible without the stellar cast and crew. We are optimistic for a smashing festival season in 2026.
Congratulations to writer/director, Caro Ribeiro, cast and crew on the festival success for her comedic and forlorn short, CAKE. I had the pleasure to cast the NYC cast. This is only the beginning for this well deserved gem.
It is always an enriching and gratifying experience to participate on panels, give talks and lead workshops. Recent organizations include The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Queens World Film Festival. I look forward to future collaborations within the educational and indie film community space.
I encourage all of you to conserve your valuable energy and be mindful of being grounded and calm. As the trees surrender their falling leaves, we must let go and be still sometimes to be healthy and productive.
Until the Winter update-
Liz
